| I'm curious. Is it as good as touted? Would it make me feel great? I'm tempted to buy a bottle... At 25 ounces (bottle), and a recommended 2 ounces a day, it goes away quickly... $40+ a bottle.. they also say use as desired.. -you can make it last longer.. Someone wrote an "independant" review of the product: http://www.amazonherb.net/ZamuReview.aspxI don't know if it's totally impartial, even though the author claims to have received no compensation for his review. But it seems interesting enough to try.. _________________ Your administrators are bound by this rule: |

| I tried it and the taste is interesting but to be honest I have doubts about what Zamu can actually do for anybody health wise. This sounds too good to be true. I am wondering how much amphetamine or dextroamphetamine it has in it. Most drinks that can make you feel a certain way has at least, one of the drugs I mentioned above in it. Personally I would like to compare it against HT and some other things on the market at the moment. This a link as to what Zamu has in it. http://21538.amazonherb.net/Zamu_Research.aspxAs for price O fan. they are offering a special price right now for people to order the drink by the case: A bottle is $45.00 but if you buy the four in a case its broken down to $31.75. You are suppose to have a bottle a week. This is high for people on fixed incomes. I would take a prescription drug over this if I had to choose. _________________ "These are Good Times."

| Remember one health drink cannot cure every ailment you have in the world. Save on money, have someone buy a case of four bottles and go in with three other people on the case. _________________ "These are Good Times."

| No, I agree about being careful. I was curious to know if they had something really interesting. Who knows. It would be fun if there were more documented research on this.. _________________ Your administrators are bound by this rule: |

| Jacky, ask a pharmacy or your doctor that you are thinking about trying Zamu see what they know about it. Zamu may decrease or intensify prescribed or over-the-counter drugs anyone is taking currently. Look closely at the side effects of zamu because the marketing for zamu is very contradicting. Zamu representatives are saying that it is a multiple vitamin drink for the body while the Easterlings are saying to the media "it makes you feel good." The Easterlings are marketing it toward an energy drink for your mind, EX. think of Red Bull or Monster drinks. The drink cannot do both of these at the same time. Most energy drinks have some sort of amphetamine or dextroampetamine in them. _________________ "These are Good Times."

| Well that paints a different picture then. I have never drunk a bottle of one of those energy drinks. Yes, you are quite right you do have to be very careful about mixing. |

| Oh, I feel real good now about Amazon herb products. I was just informed by a Veterinarian that he gives Amazon rainforest treasure tea to his animal patients for urine and kidney problems. He gets the rainforest treasure tea from a wholesaler of pet goods. Yes a PET Supplier! There is an article in one Veterinarian journal called Gentle Detox for Animals that list Rainforest Treasure tea as a great cure for animals health problems. So you are buying rainforest treasure tea from Amazon Herb site thinking it is for humans but it is for dogs, cats, hamsters, etc. How does that make you feel? I feel off the chair laughing! Woof, Woof or meow, meow! LINK: http://www.rainforesttreasure.com/HerbPetGuidelines.htmI do not feel that herbs for humans should also be used for your animals. I think they should be separate from one another due to our digestive systems are set up differently! Or vice-versa. The vet said that one tea bag is good for animals but to be honest a human would have to boil two or three tea bags to get the same vitamins as for a dog or cat. The vet said you do not know what is going into your system without measuring the herbs, you are only relying on a tea bags contents which is done by someone at a company. As a human, I would be afraid to try this tea yet alone give this tea to any of my pets. _________________ "These are Good Times."

| I found the articles to back this theory up! My favorite place to start for clearing the kidneys is with Amazon Herb Company's Rainforest Treasure Tea. This tea helps stimulate urine production and contains beneficial herbs such as una de gato, jatoba and chanca piedra. These herbs have been shown to be extremely beneficial to kidney function. Animals usually love the taste and the tea can be used in the water bowl or given with the food. Other herbs shown to be beneficial for supporting and cleansing the kidneys include: uva ursi; horsetail; parsley and pata de vaca. These are usually brewed into teas or given as a liquid tincture. http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/Gentle_Detox_for_Animals.htmlAlso Science Vetertinarian journal too. Most herbs and functional foods have not been scientifically tested; this is especially true for the horse. This paper reviews some of the literature pertinent to herbal supplementation in horses and other species. Common supplements like Echinacea, garlic, ginger, ginseng, and yucca are not regulated, and few studies have investigated safe, efficacious doses. Ginseng has been found to exert an inhibitory effect on pro-inflammatory cytokines and cyclooxygenase-2 expression. Equine studies have tested the anti-inflammatory effects of a single dose of ginger, post-exercise. Echinacea has been reported to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Yucca contains steroid-like saponins, which is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-spasmodic effects. However, some herbs like Rainforest treasure tea have drug-like actions that interact with dietary components and may contain prohibited substances like salicylates, digitalis, heroin, cocaine and marijuana. Horses fed garlic at >0.2 g/kg per day developed Heinz body anaemia. Drug–herb interactions are common and caution needs to be taken when implementing ‘natural product’ usage. _________________ "These are Good Times."

| Would someone like to explain to me, why someone is emailing out drink recipes for amazon herb Zamu plus alcohol mixed together? This is suppose to be marketed as a health food drink with vitamins and minerals. Health food is suppose to be good for you while alcohol is an anti-depressant. _________________ "These are Good Times."

| Yes it would Jacky. Plus this would be too much sugar content with everything else Zamu has in it. _________________ "These are Good Times."

| Well, I have not tried Zamu. But, I have tried a similar health drink made from camu camu berries (The main ingredient in Zamu) that I got from a health food store. All the ingredients seemed to be the same as Zamu. I did not like the taste (it tasted like a weak cough syrup) and I never noticed any boost in energy or anything different. But to be fair, I didn't drink it on a regular basis, and eventually lost interest in it (didn't even finish the bottle). If you cannot find ZAMU,you should be able to find camu camu drinks at any health food store, it is quite the trend right now. I found a big bottle for like $18.00 _________________ A day without sun shine is like, you know, night.
